This Month’s Prayer Needs: July 2022

At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us in praying for the following…

EVERYDAY DOXOLOGISTS: MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS
Please pray for members of City Church who serve as medical professionals. Pray that they: daily seek wisdom and insight as they handle each individual case before them; know that God’s calling on their lives is invaluable; have opportunities to share the Gospel in the great field of medicine; and receive encouragement each day to renew their spirits and sustain their energy.

LOCAL MISSIONS: THE BARNABAS CENTER
The Barnabas Center is a nonprofit, Christ-centered counseling and training ministry with whom City Church has partnered for several years. The staff members at Barnabas serve the hurting in our community through individual and group counseling; they also provide training groups to where participants become better-equipped to care for and encourage loved ones facing difficult times. Please pray for the staff as they continue to help their clients navigate the emotional and spiritual repercussions of the last 2 years. Please also pray for provision financially by donors so that they are in a position to continue offering scholarship rates to any who need it. For information on The Barnabas Center, visit barnabasrva.org.

GLOBAL MISSIONS: CITY TO CITY D-A-CH (CTC-D-A-CH)
CTC-D-A-CH is part of a leadership development network overseen by Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA) in New York City. CTC-D-A-CH focuses on preparing and supporting church planters serving in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Please pray for the leadership of CTC-D-A-CH as they continue to care for these church planters and their growing communities. Please pray for the CTC-D-A-CH church planters, as well—may they be bold in telling the truth about Jesus in these largely unchurched cities and may they be attuned to how to best love, care for, and nurture those they meet. MERCY & JUSTICE: MENTAL HEALTH
Please join us in praying for those struggling with their mental health. May God provide them access to quality and affordable treatment. Pray they that they are greeted with mercy and compassion by those in their daily lives. Pray that we are a community that fosters openness about our struggles and models Jesus’s care for weary hearts, remembering his promise in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
