Missions Weekend at City Church

November 7th through 9th is Missions Weekend at City Church! Join us as we explore the central idea of sharing our faith. We hope the weekend will be encouraging as we see how God is currently working through City Church and calling us to be a church sent out by Him into our city and into the world.

We have a few events lined up for the weekend that we hope you'll be a part of…

Friday, November 7th
Worship Night | 7:30-9PM: Missions Weekend will kick off with our music team leading a Worship Night in the Fellowship Hall. Join us in sharing our faith through song and a time of prayer and reflection. All ages are welcome!

Saturday, November 8th
Evangelism Seminary | 9AM-1PM: Al Dayhoff will lead a Mapping the Wilderness Evangelism Seminar in the Fellowship Hall. This event is open to other PCA congregations around Richmond. This will also serve as a finale to our Evangelism section of Sunday Formation. Registration can be found here, and lunch will be provided.

Sunday, November
CROP Hunger Walk | 2PM: We have been invited by Grace Covenant to join them in a fundraiser walk to combat hunger. The walk will benefit Church World Services, a global organization working to create sustainable responses to hunger and poverty, and Shalom Farms, one of our local Ministry Partners. Meet outside of Grace Covenant at 1:15PM; the walk begins at 2PM. More details can be found here.

City Church Worship Service | 4PM: Rev. Ben Church, Pastor of Christ our Refuge in Uganda (and one of our Ministry Partners), will preach during our worship service. Blake Parrott, a member of our Germany missions team, will also provide an update on how their trip went during the Living our Faith portion of the service.

Missions Sunday Formation | 5:30-6:30PM: Our final Sunday Formation session for the fall term will be led by Ben Church. Parents and kids 4 and up will eat together in the Fellowship Hall. After dinner, our middle and high school students will stay with their parents, while kids ages 4 through 5th grade will take part in their own missions-related formation activity. Nursery care is provided for ages 0 through 3. If you haven't registered for this session of Formation, you can do so here.

And coming up…

Sunday, November 16th
Church Planting Meeting | 5:30-6:30PM:  All are invited to join us in room 303 to learn more about the PCA’s church-planting efforts in the Metro Richmond area. Andrew Conrad (Spring Run Presbyterian Church) will join us.

We look forward to seeing you at Missions Weekend!
