New Hire Coming in July!

We are pleased to announce that, after a six-month search process, we have found and hired a staff member to fill the new full-time Children and Family Ministry Position. Jim Pulizzi will start at City Church on July 3, 2016. Jim, his wife Susan, and their nine month old daughter, Hannah, currently live in St. Louis where Jim will finish seminary this spring. Already they are making plans to transition to Richmond. They can’t wait to get involved as part of our church community. While Jim will be hired as a Director for Children and Family Ministry, as he meets requirements for ordination, we expect that he will move into a pastoral role. Jim will work alongside Jennifer Murphy, who will continue as a key member of our staff team. Together they will help disciple children aged 0-18 and their families. It’s a big job. But with more staff hours dedicated to this area of ministry, we are confident that City Church is better poised to care for those God has entrusted to us. Many details of Jim's transition onto the staff will be worked out over the next few months, but we wanted to share the good news of this hire. As Jim’s start date gets closer we will formally introduce him and his family to the church. If you have any questions about Jim or this new role, please contact Erik (erik@citychurchrva.com) or a member of the Session.

City Church remains committed to investing in people who can lead and serve all the people who worship with us and who live in our neighborhood. Growing as a church means dedicating more resources to staff so that every group within the church is shepherded well. Our vision is to see all people--young and old, families, singles, children--loved by God, restored by Christ and worshiping Him together for our good and the good of our city.
