City Church’s 2022 Annual Report

Our Response to God’s Grace

When the Communications Team met to talk about the 2022 Annual Report, we threw around all kinds of ideas. We wanted to give you a chance to reflect on yet another strange year. We wanted you to think about what your new – or maybe next — normal is. We wanted to give you a pep talk about all we’ve done and set the tone for our next year together.

And then we realized that our theme for this Annual Report was right in front of our faces. Or at least it’s been right in front of our faces every Sunday…and it has been in front of our faces since City Church started.

We found it in the words we say right after we receive the Lord’s Supper and right before we are sent out with the Benediction…

Almighty God, we thank you for feeding us with the body and blood of your son, Jesus Christ. Through Him we offer you our souls and bodies to be a living sacrifice. Send us out in the power of your spirit to live and work to your praise and glory.

We are looking at this Annual Report as our response to God’s grace in 2022. It’s a chance to thank Him for His abundant provision, to reflect on how we were able to honor Him in our everyday lives together this year, and to meditate on what it means to be sent out to serve and love others in His name. Our Response to God’s Grace: City Church’s 2022 Annual Report is being shared through our weekday podcast, Good Morning, City Church, March 6th through 10th. Each morning, we will take a sentence or phrase from Our Response to God’s Grace that we say each Sunday and hold it up against an aspect of life at City Church. Below you’ll find the schedule for each week.

We hope you’ll listen—and we think you’ll love it.

Stay well and do good,
The City Church Communications Team
