Children’s Worship Leaders

Skills/traits needed: A love for children and for God’s Word, a sense of humor, and an ability to teach, lead, and have fun in a team context.

Training required: Pass a background check and interview with the Children’s Ministry Leadership; complete yearly childcare and child safety training.

Duties and expectations: Children’s Worship Leaders work in pairs to teach children ages 4 through second grade the truths of God’s Word. They prioritize the love of Jesus through their teaching and interaction with the children. Children’s Worship includes short Bible lessons, singing, making crafts, and having fun! Leaders are expected to collaborate with their teammates in preparing their lesson from the provided curriculum. They are also expected to pray for the children and families God has placed under their care. Children’s Worship Leaders endeavor to teach teach the Good News and show kids Jesus.

Time commitment: Children’s Worship Leaders serve once a month during the sermon portion of our corporate worship service. In order for children’s worship to be successful, we ask each leader spend one hour in prayer and preparing for their monthly lesson.
