Need a place to spend Thanksgiving? If you will be in Richmond this Thanksgiving (because of work or school) and don't have plans to be with family or friends, or if you know someone else who might be alone over the holiday, please let us know. There are some families that would love to host you for Thanksgiving dinner. If interested, please contact Val Catrow at

Art for Advent: To accompany City Church’s 2014 Advent Theme, we’re issuing a call for artwork across various media to further our worship of God in the time of waiting for the coming of Jesus. This year’s theme is O Come, O Come, Emmanuel and it will be built around four verses of the familiar hymn. Advent begins on November 30th, so we will need submissions by NEXT SUNDAY, November 23rd. If you have questions about this opportunity or want more information, please contact Kim Nix ( ) or a member of the church staff.

If you’re interested in helping with any (or all!) parts of this event, please email Val Catrow at

Pageant rehearsal THIS SUNDAY: Our rehearsal for the City Church pageant will take place on Sunday, November 23rd following the service. We expect the rehearsal to last until about 6:45. If you and your family are planning to come to the rehearsal (and we hope all partcipants will!), please fill out this form ASAP so we can get an accurate head count for our dinner order.
