This Week's Sermon: We will continue our series on the book of John as John Bourgeois preaches on chapter 16, verses 16 through 24. We invite you to read ahead as a way to prepare for Sunday's service.

Welcome, Baby Bleckley! Tatum Greer Bleckley was born this morning, weighing in at 3 pounds, 8 ounces. Tatum and her mother, Hillary, are healthy and recovering well. Tatum will be spending some time in the NICU, and we are in the process of putting together a plan to offer Hillary and Andrew support as they care for and get to know their new baby girl. Save the Date: City Church Christmas Pageant, Party, and Sing-Along! Our Christmas celebration will take place on Saturday, December 6th here at Grace Covenant. We'll kick things off with the pageant (info on that below) at 5:30, followed by dinner, and a fantastic Christmas carol sing-along. Please bring a dish to share! Prayer Tomorrow: At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer: dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us tomorrow, October 30th, at 7am to pray for individual needs, City Church, and for the city of Richmond. We’ll be meeting this week at the Church office, 3rd floor at Grace Covenant. Friday Night Dinner: Our next Friday Night Dinner is on November 14th, and we want you to join us! This is a casual dinner open to all – members, visitors, neighbors, etc... – that provides a chance for us to get to know new people within our community. Hosts will provide the main dish, and each attendee (up to 10 per house) can bring a side of their choosing to share with the group. Next Common Good RVA Event: Join us on Thursday, November 13th at 7:30 for Common Good RVA: Business. Don Flow (Chairman and CEO of Flow Companies) will join us to share how he integrates his faith into his business practices. Meals for the Beckendorfs: Wolfgang Hatchet Beckendorf was born on Sunday, October 19th at 7:58pm. He weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured in at 21 inches long. We will be providing meals to Avery, Ben, and big brother Django for several weeks as they adjust to life as a family of four. Volunteers needed for City Capernaum! City Capernaum is a Young Life ministry supported by City Church that seeks to share the heart of Jesus with Richmond City high school students with disabilities. We are looking for several volunteers to attend Capernaum "club" meetings to assist with activities and love on the students who attend. The remaining dates for the fall are Tuesday, November 11th; Tuesday, December 2nd; and Thursday, December 18th from 5:30 to 7:30. Please contact Erin Sheets at if you are interested in serving.
