Prayer for Graduates:At Sunday's service we will pray for those who have recently graduated (or will graduate within the next month or so) and are preparing to move on to the next stage of their lives. Prayer Tomorrow: At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer: dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us tomorrow, May 15th, at 7am to pray for individual needs, City Church, and for the city of Richmond. We’ll be meeting this week at the Church office, 3rd floor at Grace Covenant. Enter in the back entrance of building. Hope to see you there. (City Church prayer takes place every other Thursday.)
CCDA National Conference – Raleigh Durham: Each year, the Christian Community Development Association national conference draws more than 2,500 people from around the world to share in best practices of Christian community development (also known as poverty alleviation) and this year it is being held in Raleigh – Durham, September 24th through 27th. If you’re interested in trying to connect with other people from City Church who are interested in going, please contact Blake Stack at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers Needed for the Nursery: We are in need of people to serve in the City Church nursery for this next volunteer rotation (June-September). No experience is necessary--just an interest in helping to care for the children at City Church! We will provide training to new volunteers as needed. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Jennifer Murphy, our Director of Children’s Ministry, at email@example.com.
CARITAS: As part of CARITAS, we will collaberate with Bethlehem Lutheran Church to provide sustenance and temporary shelter to those in need. We’re looking for two city groups or 10 volunteers to make dinner for the homeless and do an overnight stay on Sunday, May 18th or Tuesday, May 20th. Meals for City Church Families: We are currently providing meals for two City Church familes: the Bergs and the Nicholases. If you’d like to help with this, please takethemameal.com to sign up. Log-in and password for the Bergs is ‘Berg’. Log-in for the Nicholases is ‘Nicholas’; the password is ‘TNicholas’.
Support for Prague Team Members: The team headed to Prague in June is now in the process of raising money for their trip. If you would like to offer financial support to the team (either as a whole or toa specific team member), you may do so online or place your contribution in the offering box during our regular service. If you are giving to specific team member, please be sure to select his/her name from the dropdown menu when making an online gift or write his/her name in the memo line when paying by check.
