This Week’s Sermon: This week John will preach on John 6:1-15. We invite you to read ahead to help prepare yourself for this week’s sermon.

Prayer Tomorrow: At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer: dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us tomorrow, February 6th, at 7am to pray for individual needs, City Church, and for the city of Richmond. We’ll be meeting this week at the Church office, 3rd floor at Grace Covenant. Enter in the back entrance of building. Hope to see you there. (City Church prayer takes place every other Thursday.)

Used Books for Sale on Sunday! Doug and Jeanne Domenech are selling some of their books. The prices are whatever you would like to pay. All money raised will benefit the City Church Mercy Fund and Romania Reborn, a Christian orphan ministry in Romania. Hard and softback books include Christian, philosophy, political, environmental, literature, history, children, joke books, and other subjects. Books will be located in the parlor (where we serve coffee) and will be available before and after the service. Cash only, please.

City Church Summer Ministry Internships: City Church is looking to hire three summer ministry interns: women's ministry intern, children's ministry intern, and pastoral intern. Summer Mission Trips: City Church will be going on two missions trips this summer: an evangelism-related trip to Prague (June 14th through 23rd) and a mercy-ministry-related trip to Chattanooga (July 5th through 12th). Both trips are open to all! For more information, email John Bourgeois at

Musicians Needed for Children’s Worship: We are looking for musicians to help grow the music portion of our Children’s Worship. If you’re interested in taking part, please contact Jennifer Murphy at A variety of instruments and skill levels are welcome!


Women’s Bible Studies: Women’s Bible studies will continue on Monday evenings at 7:30pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am; both sessions will meet at Grace Covenant. This spring we will study the book of Proverbs together. The cost is $5. Child care is available during the Wednesday morning study for $10 per child ($20 maximum per family). Welcome, Baby Hendrix! Wesley Piper Hendrix was born on Wednesday, January 22nd, weighing in at 7 pounds. We will provide meals for Mack and Rebecca for several weeks as they adjust to life at home with their new baby boy.
