COMING UP THIS WEEK
This Week’s Sermon Text: This Sunday John will preach on John 1:6-18. We invite you to read ahead to help prepare yourself for this week’s sermon. Prayer Tomorrow: Please join members of City Church’s leadership and staff to pray for City Church tomorrow, October 10th from 7am-8am at the church's office, 1627 Monument Avenue, Suite 304.
October 12th Seminars--RSVPs for Child Care Needed: City Church will host two seminars on Saturday, October 12th here at Grace Covenant from 9:30 to noon.
Courageous Conversations with Lisa Ould (Women's Seminar, room 212): Lisa’s seminar will equip us to become better friends, as we listen and enter-in to the lives of those around us. She will help us to see how each of our stories are a part of God’s larger story of redemption and will offer practical application to love and support one another throughout life’s seasons and circumstances. Child care is available for $10 per child/$20 maximum per family. Please complete this form to register for the seminar (we ask that ALL attendees register–not just those in need of childcare–so we can plan accordingly).
Redeeming Frienship (Men's Seminar, room 303): Counselor Alec Kean will lead a seminar for men about being a man and friendship. We will be answering questions like, “How do I avoid becoming a lonely jerk?” Please email John Bourgeois (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information and to register.
Congregational Meeting: We will hold a congregational meeting immediately following the service on Sunday, October 13th to elect deacons and elders. All communing members of City Church are eligible to vote. An email was sent out to all members with specific information on this meeting. If you haven’t already done so, please review that email and contact Erik (email@example.com) if you have any questions.
Welcome, Baby Pitcher! Evelyn Lorraine Pitcher was born on Tuesday, October 8th at 7:03pm, weighing in at 9 pounds, 9 ounces. We will be coordinating meals for Katie, Joe, and Myles (the new big brother) over the next several weeks as they adjust to life at home with Baby Evie. Stay tuned for details!
