Christmas Pageant Workday: On the morning of Saturday, November 9th, the Pageant Planning Committee will be getting together at Lauren Mathews's home to begin constructing costumes and painting sets for the Christmas Pageant. All are welcome to join us and help out, no matter your skill set or level; there are plenty of jobs to go around! How to Talk to Your Friends About God: As Christians, we are called to show and tell the world about the good news of Jesus Christ…but often we don’t because we’re not sure how to do it without ruining a friendship or alienating a friend. On Saturday, November 9th from 9:15 to noon at Grace Covenant, City Church will host a workshop called “Authentic Outreach”, led by Stuart Holt. If you need help figuring out how to share the Gospel with your friends, this seminar is for you. If you’re planning to attend, please fill out this form to register. Child care is available for $10 per child (maximum of $20 per family). Feel free to contact John Bourgeois (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions about the seminar. If you have questions about registration or child care, email Valerie Catrow (email@example.com). If you are need of child care, please make sure to RSVP no later than Wednesday, November 6th so we can make sure we’ve got an accurate count.
International Student Outreach: City Church is working with the VCU Global Education Office to help connect international students with conversation partners and friends. If you are interested in being a conversation partner or participating in social events with international students, please contact Ellen Kelly at ellenheart at gmail dot com for more information.
Creativity, Power, and Our Christian Calling (with Andy Crouch): The Richmond Center for Christian Study presents “Restoring the Image: Creativity, Power and Our Christian Calling,” with Andy Crouch (Executive Editor of Christianity Today and author of Playing God: Redeeming the Gift of Power and the award-winning Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling). This event will take place on at 7pm on Wednesday, November 6th at Reveille United Methodist Church (4200 Cary Street Road).
