Update on Goochland Young Life

From Ian's email...

This last semester was one to write home about because the Lord blessed us tremendously.

One big way was with a new girl leader named Sarah Buhrman. She is a sophomore going through the Bon Secours nursing program. She is a natural leader and loves girls really well. Goochland had been praying for another girl leader for over a year-and-a-half because we previously only had one. It has been very fun to watch her grow and pursue life alongside these high school girls.

We also recently got back from our camp trip to Windy Gap. We took 23 students this year, and only four of them had been to camp before. It was a rag-tag group of kids but kids all the leaders had been praying for and building relationships with. Those kids had the best week of their life and it wasn't because they zip lined, or rode horses, or even because they flirted with other guys and girls; it was because they heard the gospel and saw Jesus at windy gap. Nine of those students decided to trust Jesus with their life that week.

I am so excited to continue working with the students in Goochland, to tell them about the God of the universe who loves them this next year, and to help continue leading others toward Jesus.

I am writing you this email to ask for your help and partnership in doing that this year.

My largest request is for prayer. I can not do this without the Lord. Please pray with and for me and the ministry happening in Goochland.
