**COMING UP THIS WEEK** This Week’s Sermon Text: This Sunday Erik will preach on 2 Samuel 7:1-17. We invite you to read ahead to help prepare yourself for this week’s sermon.
Budget Presentation: The City Church finance team will present the 2013-2014 budget immediately after worship on Sunday, June 16th. We will not have nursery/childcare during the presentation, but the playground will be open (please remember that at least one parent must be present with your child while on the playground).
Pasta Dinner and Cornhole Tournament: Richmond Urban Young Life is raising money to bring high schoolers from John Marshall to Young Life camp to hear the gospel and have the best week of their lives. Join us for a pasta dinner and cornhole tournament at 1204 Stanhope Avenue on June 27th beginning at 6:30pm. The cost will be $10 per plate (kids eat free) and $10 per cornhole team (with prizes!). Contact Ben Morehead for more information at email@example.com.
Child Information Cards: Parents, if you haven't already filled out a new version of our child information card, please do so when you drop your child(ren) off at nursery on Sunday. This new format is going to streamline nursery procedures and help our volunteers to continue to provide excellent care for your children.
Meals for City Church Families: City Church is currently providing meals for four families: the Eldridges, the Sibigas, the Marshalls, and the Crawfords. If you’re interested in serving these families in this way, please visit takethemameal.com to sign up. All meal schedules can be found by searching for the family’s last name. Passwords are as follows: Eldridge: Eldridge; Sibiga: Tucker; Marshall: Jane; Crawford: Crawford.
Women’s Summer Bible Studies: City Church is offering two women's Bible studies this summer:
- 1 John: This Bible study will focus on John’s letter to the church assuring us of Jesus’s love and encouraging us toward love and holiness. Mondays at 7:30 at Grace Covenant (1627 Monument Avenue).
- Habits of Faithfulness: No matter our stage of life, we are called to live by faith. Discussions on various topics (confession, prayer, rest, etc.) will be guided by scripture and articles to apply faithful living in any season. Thursdays at 7:30 at Val Catrow’s house.
If you're interested in taking part, please complete this form to sign up for the study of your choice. Please contact Meg Haden (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions.
