Baby Shower for Kari Hershey: All the ladies of City Church are invited to a Baby Shower celebrating the pending arrival of Kari and Jon Hershey’s baby. It will be held at Rebecca Hendrix’ house on Saturday, November 10th, at 3pm. Please RSVP to Rebecca if you plan to attend:

Parking on Sunday: We will not have access to the parking deck on Sunday, November 11th. There should be plenty of on-street parking available, but please take that into consideration as you leave for Sunday's service.

Loaves & Fishes: Our next opportunity to prepare and serve a meal for those who need it will be on Sunday, November 18th. We’ll meet at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) from 11am to 2pm. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Blake Stack at

Friday Night Dinner: We are organizing another Friday night potluck in various homes throughout Richmond on November 16th. This is a casual dinner open to all people – members, visitors, neighbors, etc. – and will provide a chance for us to get to know new people within our community. The host of each home will provide the main dish and each attendee (up to 12 per house) can bring a side of their choosing to share with the group. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP no later than Tuesday, November 13th, to Rebecca Hendrix at and she will be in touch with details.

Update on Tucker Sibiga: On Monday, November 26th, Baby Tucker will be transferred from the NICU at Henrico Doctors Hospital up to Boston Children’s Hospital to continue his care. It’s expected that Ellie and Tommy will be up there with him for a couple months. City Church is collecting gift cards for food, gas, and groceries to lighten their financial load during this time. If you have a gift card you’d like to contribute, please pass them along to Caley Crawford or leave them in the offering basket. If you’d like to make a financial contribution to Tommy and Ellie directly, you can do so via PayPal on their blog:

Bless Richmond: On Sunday, November 18th at 6pm, Christians from dozens of congregations in Richmond will gather to give thanks to Jesus, pray for Richmond, and feed the hungry. This event will take place at U-Turn Sports Performance Academy (2101 Maywill Street Richmond); please bring canned food donations to benefit the Central Virginia Foodbank.
