Downtown lunch: Our next Downtown Lunch will take place on Thursday, October 18th (tomorrow) from 12pm to 1pm. We will do a ‘bring your own’ lunch and meet in the conference room of Riverfront Investment Group located at 1214 E. Cary Street. Erik will speak for 5 to 10 minutes after which we’ll share a meal and a conversation around the table.

Loaves & Fishes: Our next opportunity to prepare and serve a meal for those who need it will be on Sunday, October 21st. We’ll meet at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) from 11am to 2pm. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Blake Stack at

High Street Hymns Concert: West End Presbyterian Church (9008 Quioccasin Road) will host a night of worship and fellowship led by High Street Hymns on Sunday, October 21st at 7:30pm. The cost is $10 and all attendees will receive a copy of Love Lives Again, High Street Hymns’ new album.


Details on the Harvest Party: An email was sent out on Monday outlining details for the City Church Harvest Party scheduled for Saturday, October 27th. Young Professionals Group: Needle's Eye Ministry's Fall session of their Young Professionals Group begins on Tuesday, October 23rd and will continue weekly through December 11th.This is an eight-week small group workshop for young professionals to explore issues like work-life balance, faith and work, goal setting and skills assessment. All sessions will take place from 6pm to 8pm at the Needle's Eye office (104 Berrington Court, Richmond, VA 23221). Visit this link to sign up. Cost is $30.


Goochland Young Life 5k: Help support Goochland Young Life by taking part in the Goochland Young Life 5k on Saturday, October 20th at 9am at Goochland High School (3250 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063). Healing Service: The City Church elders will lead a healing service on Sunday, October 28th at 7:30pm in Beth Ahabah Chapel. We encourage anyone with chronic illnesses or conditions to join us to receive prayer and support. Contact Erik at with questions.
