Christian Formation Class begins Sunday: City Church’s next Christian Formation class begins this Sunday, September 9th and will run weekly from 2:30 to 3:30pm in the Beth Ahabah auditorium. This semester’s topic is Habit: Liturgies for Life. Please take a moment to watch this brief video on the City Church website for more information on what we’ll be discussing during this study.
Register for Women's Bible studies: This Fall, City Church will continue to gather for Women’s Bible studies.There will be two different meeting times: Monday evenings at 7:30pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am (childcare provided for a small fee); these studies will begin the week of September 17th. Both groups will meet at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (1627 Monument Avenue). Meals for the Walkers: Jennifer and Daniel Walker welcomed their daughter, Caroline Pace Walker, at 9:24am on August 22nd. Caroline weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 21.75 inches long. We will be coordinating meals for Jennifer and Daniel as they adjust to life at home with Baby Caroline. If you're interested in serving them in this way, visit takethemameal to sign up. Crafternoon! (rescheduled) Ladies, come join Ann Douglas Enghauser for Crafternoon on Saturday, September 22, at 2pm. Worship Service on 9/16 and 9/30: Due to the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot, Beth Ahabah will be unavailable for our Sunday services on September 16th and September 30th. City Church will meet at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (1627 Monument Avenue) for those services.
City Church Basics: Our next session of City Church Basics is scheduled for Friday, September 21st (7pm to 9:30pm) and Saturday, September 22nd (9:30am to noon). Church Basics explains who we are as a church and what it means to be a member. It is a necessary step towards formally joining the church, although membership is not required. Need for Car: A family from Richmond that serves with World Harvest Mission in Spain will be back in the area from mid-October to mid-January and will need reliable transportation during that period.
