Friday Night Dinner on August 17th: We are doing another Friday night potluck in various homes throughout Richmond on August 17th, and want you to join us! This is a casual dinner open to all people – members, visitors, neighbors, etc. – and will provide a chance for us to get to know new people within our community. The host of each home will provide the main dish and each attendee (up to 12 per house) can bring a side of their choosing to share with the group. Women's Event--Drinks and Dessert with Friends: City Church Women and friends are getting together on Monday, August 20th, from 7:30-9pm, at Kim Nix's House. Come, bring a friend and a bottle of wine, your favorite drink, or a dessert to share!
Summer Supper Series: Our next Summer Supper is scheduled for Saturday, August 25th at Fox Elementary School (2300 Hanover Avenue) at 5pm. We will provide the main dish; you just need to bring a side or a dessert. Contact Erik with questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Save the Date for Fall Women's Studies: This Fall, City Church will continue to gather for Women's Bible studies. There will be two different meeting times--Monday evenings at 7:30pm and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am (childcare provided for a small fee); these studies will begin in mid-September. Pregnancy Resource Center Volunteer Training: The Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond will begin its volunteer training on Saturday, September 15th and will continue on Thursdays, either in the morning or the evening, until October 11th. The PRC is looking for men and women who hold a biblical worldview of life and have a desire to compassionately serve people who may be unprepared for pregnancy. Open Teaching Positions at Peter Paul Development Center: The Peter Paul Development Center (located in Richmond’s East End) is in search of part-time teachers for their after school academic program for grades 2-6 and High School. Gift Cards for the Sibigas & Updates on Tucker: We are collecting gas card and gift cards for Ellie and Tommy Sibiga as a way to help support them as they spend much of their time in the NICU at Henrico Doctors Hospital with their baby boy, Tucker. If you’re interested in contributing to this, gas stations nearby include Kroger, Wawa, and Sheetz. Nearby restaurants include Panera, Chick-Fil-A, Arby’s, Westbury Pharmacy, Moe’s, Melito’s, and Superstars. Gift cards can be passed along to Caley Crawford during Sunday services or dropped off at the City Church office (1520 W. Main Street, Suite 105).
