Mercy Fund on Sunday: As this is the last Sunday of the month, we will be taking contributions to our Mercy Fund. The Mercy Fund is kept separate from our regular budget and is used to provide financial support to members of our congregation and community who are in need. Please prayerfully consider what you might be willing to contribute.
Vespers on Sunday: All are welcome to take part in our monthly Vespers meeting in the fellowship hall of Beth Ahabah (just downstairs from the sanctuary) immediately following Sunday's regular service. This is a time for us to share a meal and talk more about the vision of City Church. Please bring a dish to share. Remember: no pork or shellfish products are allowed in Beth Ahabah.
Brunch & Easter Egg Hunt: All are invited to join us for a potluck brunch and Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, April 1st from 10am to 1pm at Glenn and Laura Nunziata's home. Contact Jennifer Murphy (email@example.com) with questions and to RSVP. If you're planning on coming, please let us know if you're bringing any kids along with you (and how many), as well as what dish you will be bringing to share.
Friday Night Supper: We are doing another Friday night potluck in various homes throughout Richmond on Friday, March 30th and want you to join us! This is a casual dinner open to all people – members, visitors, skeptics, neighbors, etc. – and will provide a chance for us to get to know new people within our community. The host of each home will provide the main dish and each attendee (up to 12 per house) can bring a side of their choosing to share with the group. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP no later than Tuesday, March 27th, to Rebecca Hendrix at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be in touch with details.
City Church Forum: Our spring City Church Forum series “Stewarding Beauty” will start on Wednesday, March 28th, with documentary film-maker, Nate Clarke. The event will take place in Beth Ahabah’s Joel House from 7:30-9 PM. (Parking is available in the parking deck, but please use the top level, reserving the other levels for those who will be at St. James that evening).
This is Our City: On Thursday, March 29th, at 7pm, Christianity Today will host a an evening of celebration and conversation about how Christians are contributing to the flourishing of Richmond.
