As you are making plans for any end-of-year tithes and offerings, please note that in order for contributions to count towards 2011 giving, we must have those contributions in our possession no later than Friday, December 30th to allow time for processing, regardless of postmark date. In need of nursery items You might have noticed that City Church has welcome lots of babies this year! So the nursery is in need of bouncy seats, portable swings, and a few portable cribs. If you have items you are willing to donate, please contact Jennifer Murphy at jennifer [at]

Randolph Place Apartments Caroling & Craft (and donuts!) -- 12/17 Join us for a family-friendly morning of caroling and visiting with residents of Randolph Place, a senior housing community in the Byrd Park/Randolph area. We will be meeting at the Bonkovsys' home (21 N. Granby Street) at 9am for homemade donuts before we head over. We will also be working on a small craft with the residents. City Church Christmas Open House — 12/17 (with new info!) We will be holding a Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 17th from 7pm to 10pm at the home of Brian and Julie Kastelein. If your last name is A-M, please bring something savory (pretzels, veggies, meatballs, cheese), and last names N-Z, please bring something sweet (fruit, cookies, cupcakes, brownies). This is an open house, so bring your dish whenever you plan to come. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there! Loaves & Fishes -- 12/18 Our opportunity to serve at Loaves & Fishes this month will be on Sunday, December 18th from 10:45am to 2pm at the Conrad Center. This time we'll be joined by fathers and sons from the Blackfoot Tribe. We will be working in two shifts: 10:45am to 12:30pm for food preparation, and 12:15pm to 2:00pm for serving the meal and clean-up. Downtown Lunch — 12/15 Our next Downtown Lunch will take place on Thursday, December 15th from 12-1pm. We will do a ‘bring your own’ lunch and meet in the conference room of Riverfront Investment Group located at 1214 E. Cary Street. Erik will share for 5 to 10 minutes after which we’ll share a meal and a conversation around the table.

City Church Basics — 12/16 & 12/17 The next session of City Church Basics is scheduled for December 16th and 17th. Church Basics explains who we are as a church and what it means to be a member. It is a necessary step towards formally joining the church, although membership is not required. Christmas Eve Services City Church will hold two Christmas Eve services: a family-friendly service at 4pm, and a service with carols, lessons, and communion at 11pm. Both services will be held at Beth Ahabah. Christmas Day Service We will be holding a joint worship service with Northside Church of Richmond on Christmas Day at 4pm at Beth Ahabah.
