Welcome to the world, Harrison Crawford! Andrew and Caley Crawford welcomed Andrew Harrison Crawford yesterday, December 13th -- 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 20 inches long. Randolph Place Apartments Caroling & Craft (and donuts!) — SATURDAY Join us for a family-friendly morning of caroling and visiting with residents of Randolph Place, a senior housing community in the Byrd Park/Randolph area. We will be meeting at the Bonkovskys' home (21 N. Granby Street) at 9am for homemade donuts before we head over. We will also be working on a small craft with the residents. Help out with Nursery or Children's Worship! City Church is in need of 7 nursery workers, 1 Children's Worship teacher, and 3 Children's Worship helpers to round out the teams for 2012. Would you consider being one of these people? Volunteers serve approximately every six weeks. Nursery workers care for babies and toddlers (0 to age 3); Children's Worship teachers and helpers work with kids ages 4 through 2nd grade. A note about end-of-year giving… As you are making plans for any end-of-year tithes and offerings, please note that in order for contributions to count towards 2011 giving, we must have those contributions in our possession no later than Friday, December 30th to allow time for processing, regardless of postmark date. Downtown Lunch — TOMORROW Our next Downtown Lunch will take place on Thursday, December 15th from 12-1pm. We will do a ‘bring your own’ lunch and meet in the conference room of Riverfront Investment Group located at 1214 E. Cary Street. Erik will share for 5 to 10 minutes after which we’ll share a meal and a conversation around the table.

City Church Christmas Open House — SATURDAY We will be holding a Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 17th from 7pm to 10pm at the home of Brian and Julie Kastelein. If your last name is A-M, please bring something savory (pretzels, veggies, meatballs, cheese), and last names N-Z, please bring something sweet (fruit, cookies, cupcakes, brownies). This is an open house, so bring your dish whenever you plan to come. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!

Women’s Ornament Exchange — 12/19 Amanda Murray will be hosting a women’s ornament exchange on Monday, December 19th at 7pm at her home. Please bring one wrapped ornament to exchange. Follow the link below to RSVP.


Christmas Eve Services City Church will hold two Christmas Eve services: a family-friendly service at 4pm, and a service with carols, lessons, and communion at 11pm. Both services will be held at Beth Ahabah. Christmas Day Service We will be holding a joint worship service with Northside Church of Richmond on Christmas Day at 4pm at Beth Ahabah.
