City Church Family: Today (Sunday, November 27th) marks the beginning of Advent in the Church Calendar. Advent includes the four Sundays before Christmas and is a time of preparation for the coming of the Lord Jesus. This year City Church has organized several events and resources to help you and your family celebrate Advent and prepare for Christmas.

City Church Forum: Your Money and Your Heart Katie Nienow, the Director of Development for Hope International, will speak on the topic of ‘Your Money and Your Heart’–a particularly relevant subject for consideration during the holiday rush of spending and consumption. (Thursday, December 1st at 7:30pm at the Joel House at Beth Ahabah) STEP Pride for Parents Christmas Store Join us in assisting STEP (Strategies to Elevate People) with their 21st annual STEP Pride for Parents Christmas Store. We hope to have a group from City Church to volunteer at the event, greeting children and parents from Gilpin Court. Email Lauren Massey (lbmassey [at] gmail.com) if you're interested in helping out. (Saturday, December 3rd from 9am to 12pm at Eternity Church at 1900 Chamberlayne Avenue) City Church Christmas Open House All are invited to stop by the Kasteleins' home for a Christmas Open House. (Saturday, December 17th from 7pm to 10pm at 7 Maxwell Road) Assisted Living Facility Visit for Caroling Join us for a family-friendly day of caroling and visiting residents at a local assisted living facility. Date and location are TBD, but keep an eye out for more details!
Christmas Eve Services City Church will hold two Christmas Eve services: a family-friendly service at 4pm, and a service with carols, lessons, and communion at 11pm. (Both services will be held at Beth Ahabah.)
Christmas Day Service We will be holding a joint worship service with Northside Church of Richmond on Christmas Day. (4pm at Beth Ahabah.)
