Prayer — TOMORROW Please join members of City Church’s leadership and staff to pray for City Church on Thursday, December 1st from 7-8am at the church office (1520 W. Main Street, Suite 105).

Downtown Lunch -- 12/15 Our next Downtown Lunch will take place on Thursday, December 15th from 12-1pm. We will do a ‘bring your own’ lunch and meet in the conference room of Riverfront Investment Group located at 1214 E. Cary Street. Erik will share for 5 to 10 minutes after which we’ll share a meal and a conversation around the table. City Church Christmas Open House -- 12/17 We will be holding a Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 17th from 7pm to 10pm at the home of Brian and Julie Kastelein. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!


City Church Forum — TOMORROW Our next installment of City Church Forum will take place on Thursday, December 1st from 7:30 to 9pm at the Joel House at Beth Ahabah (1123 W. Franklin Street). Katie Nienow, the Director of Development for Hope International, will speak on the topic of ‘Your Money and Your Heart’–a particularly relevant subject for consideration during the holiday rush of spending and consumption.

STEP Pride for Parents Christmas Store Join us in assisting STEP (Strategies to Elevate People) with their 21st annual STEP Pride for Parents Christmas Store on Saturday, December 3rd from 9am to 12pm at Eternity Church (1900 Chamberlayne Avenue). We hope to have a group from City Church to volunteer at the event, greeting children and parents from Gilpin Court. Email Lauren Massey (lbmassey [at] if you’re interested in helping out.

City Church Basics — 12/16 & 12/17 The next session of City Church Basics is scheduled for December 16th and 17th. Church Basics explains who we are as a church and what it means to be a member. It is a necessary step towards formally joining the church, although membership is not required. Assisted Living Facility Visit for Caroling Join us for a family-friendly day of caroling and visiting residents at a local assisted living facility. Date and location are TBD, but keep an eye out for more details!

Christmas Eve Services City Church will hold two Christmas Eve services: a family-friendly service at 4pm, and a service with carols, lessons, and communion at 11pm. Both services will be held at Beth Ahabah. Christmas Day Service We will be holding a joint worship service with Northside Church of Richmond on Christmas Day at 4pm at Beth Ahabah.
