Info on the Harvest Party, meals for the Eldridges, Christmas services, and more... *NEW* Welcome to the world, Baby Eldridge! Grey Hutchison Eldridge was born on Friday, October 28th at 7:17pm, weighing in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. We will be providing meals for Leah and Jeremiah over the next few weeks as they get adjusted to life at home with their new baby boy. If you're interested in serving them in this way, visit to sign up. The last name 'Eldridge' and the password is 'CCR'.

City Church Harvest Party -- 11/19 All are welcome to come on out to our Harvest Party on Saturday, November 19th at the Rumrills' home in St. Stephens Church! Festivities will begin at 4 (including kid-friendly activities -- games, hayrides, etc.), and dinner will start at around 5:30. We will be roasting a pig, so please just bring a side dish or dessert to share. Directions will be sent out in a separate email -- keep an eye out for those. Dress is “hoedown harvesty.”

Christian Formation Class continues on Sunday "Life Together: How the Gospel Bears on Our Friendships," a Christian Formation Class being taught by Jon-Marc Haden and John Bourgeois, continues this Sunday from 6-7:30pm and runs weekly through November 20th. All are welcome to attend, even if you haven't made it to previous sessions. If you have questions, feel free to contact John Bourgeois at john [at] (If you plan on attending, please bring $5 to offset the cost of dinner.)

Downtown Lunches -- 11/17 & 12/15 Our Downtown Lunch series will continue on Thursday, November 17th and Friday, December 15th from 12pm to 1pm. At each session Erik will share for 5 to 10 minutes after which we'll share a meal and a conversation around the table. Locations are TBD, so keep an eye out for more information.

City Church Forum 3 -- 12/1 Our next installment of our City Church Forum will take place on Thursday, December 1st from 7:30 to 9pm at the Joel House at Beth Ahabah (1123 W. Franklin Street). Katie Nienow, the Director of Development for Hope International, will speak on the topic of ‘Your Money and Your Heart’–a particularly relevant subject for consideration during the holiday rush of spending and consumption.

Christmas Eve Services City Church will hold two Christmas Eve services: a family-friendly service at 4pm, and a service with carols, lessons, and communion at 11pm. Both services will be held at Beth Ahabah. We will also be meeting for our regular 4pm service on Christmas Day.
