*NEW* Welcome to the world, Baby Bourgeois! Lionel John Bourgeois V ("Leo") was born on Tuesday, September 27th at 5:04pm, weighing in a 8 pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 22 inches long. We will be coordinating meals for the Bourgeois family when they get home from the hospital, so stay tuned for details!

Transformational Truth with Dr. Douglas Stuart - November 5th (early bird registration ends Saturday!) Needle’s Eye Ministries and Crestwood Presbyterian Church will be hosting an interactive seminar with Dr. Douglas Stuart, author of How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth and How to Read the Bible Book by Book. The seminar will take place from 8:30am to 3pm at West End Assembly of God (401 N. Parham Road). Tickets are $25 (includes continental breakfast and lunch). Romania Reborn Concert - October 1st Join us on Saturday, October 1st at 7:30pm at the Domeneches' home (1908 Grove Avenue) for a house concert in honor of the work of Romania Reborn (, an organization serving the needs of abandoned children in Romania since 1998. Christian Formation Class - Life Together: How the Gospel Bears on Our Friendships John Bourgeois and Jon-Marc Haden will be leading this 6-week class that will meet on Sundays from 6-7:30pm at the Joel House at Beth Ahabah (1123 W. Franklin Street). Class dates are: 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, and 11/6, 11/13, and 11/20. Please bring $5 to each session to help offset the cost of dinner. City Church Forum - begins October 6th This Fall City Church will be hosting "City Church Forum", a speaker series exploring the intersection of faith and life. Each of these forums will meet from 7:30-9pm in the Joel House at Beth Ahabah (1123 W. Franklin Street). We will start things off on Thursday, October 6th with a presentation/talk by Fritz Kling entitled "Global Mission, Local Commitment". Learn more about City Church Forum here:


Apple Picking at Carter Mountain - October 22nd All are invited to join us for a trip up to Carter Mountain in Charlottesville for a morning/afternoon of picking apples (and picking out pumpkins). We will be meeting in the parking lot of Martin's in Carytown at 9am on Saturday, October 22nd to caravan/car pool. Loves Your Kids Seminar - November 5th West End Presbyterian Church (9008 Quioccasin Road) will be hosting a one-day seminar for parents of young children (0-12 years). “Love Your Kids” is designed to grow in you the heart of God toward your children.
