Merry Christmas, City Church! Just a few announcements for you this week...

Christmas Eve Service City Church will have a family friendly Christmas Eve service of Lessons and Carols on Friday, December 24th, at 4pm, in the Beth Ahabah Chapel (1121 W. Franklin St.). The chapel is most easily accessed from a driveway located just west of Beth Ahabah's education building (which itself is just West of the main sanctuary).

New Worship Space City Church will be moving its Sunday afternoon worship service to Beth Ahabah Synagogue (1117 W. Franklin St.) beginning in February 2011.  While the current building has served us well for the last 4 1/2 years, the bigger space at Beth Ahabah will allow us to welcome more people to worship and to serve our children and our community better. If you have questions about this transitions, please feel free to contact Andrew Bleckley (ableckley [at] or Erik (erik [at]

Sunday's Service We will be having our regular worship service on Sunday. However, there will be no children's worship. Nursery care will be provided as scheduled.

Mercy Fund As this week's service falls on the last Sunday of the month, we will be taking contributions to our Mercy Fund. The Mercy Fund is kept separate from our regular budget and is used to provide financial support to members of our congregation and community who are in need. Please prayerfully consider what you might be willing to contribute.

Authentic Outreach Seminar West End Presbyterian Church is hosting an Authentic Outreach® Training Course designed to help people share about Jesus Christ in a compelling and non-confrontational way. It will be led by Stuart Holt on Saturday, January 22, 8:30am to 12:30pm. The cost is $10 and includes coffee and a light breakfast. Contact Erik with questions (erik [at]
