Richmond Justice Initiative Meeting, 8/19 If you are interested in being a part of a new effort in Richmond counter the injustice of international human trafficking please attend a volunteer meeting on Thursday, August 19, at 7pm, at Commonwealth Chapel (1836 Park Ave.). Vespers, 8/22 All are invited to join us for our monthly Vespers service immediately following the service on August 22. This is a time for us to share a meal and discussion about various events and opportunities within the church. Please bring a dish to share!


Loaves & Fishes, 8/15 - Volunteers needed! Our next opportunity to serve at Loaves & Fishes will be THIS SUNDAY, August 15. We will meet at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) from 11am to 2pm to prepare and serve a meal. Gilpin Games, 8/21 -- Volunteers needed! City Church will help host the Gilpin Games from 9am to 1pm on August 21. The Gilpin Games will assist the children and families of G. W. Carver Elementary School by providing them with information and school supplies to prepare for the upcoming school year. It's also a blast to be a part of! We would love for you to help by volunteering the day of the event, distributing fliers on August 14 at 10am, or bringing or finding event supplies such as sports equipment, a raffle item, or a grill from home. Children's Worship -- Teachers & helpers needed City Church's Children's Worship is gearing up to get started again in the fall, and we are currently looking for teachers and helpers. Children's Worship serves kids ages 4 to 7 and takes place during our regular church service. Teachers need to be City Church members. Adults, teenagers, and older elementary students are welcome to serve as helpers. Children's Worship is organized on a rotation basis, so teachers and helpers typically lead lessons once every 5 to 6 weeks. If you're interested, please contact Heather Agnello at hrpike [at]
