*REMINDERS* Ellie Risher Visiting, 1/14 Ellie Risher is a City Church-supported missionary preparing to move to South Africa indefinitely to share the gospel and provide relief for victims of human trafficking and vice. She is in Richmond for a few days, and the Fishers will be hosting a sit-down with Ellie at their home (2610 Grayland Avenue) on Thursday, January 14 at 7pm. This will be a time to hear from Ellie about her work in global missions and her plans for the future, as well as getting some relational time with one of our sisters in Christ Jesus. Vespers, 1/24 All are invited to join us for our monthly Vespers on Sunday, January 24, immediately after our regular church service. This is a time for us to share a meal and discussion about various events and opportunities within the church. This month's meeting will include a presentation on the current financial situation at City Church and sharing from Jake Lyell on his work in Uganda. Please bring a dish to share. Celebration of Life: A Musical Night of Praise with the Pregnancy Resource Center, 1/23 The Metro Richmond Pregnancy Resource Center will be hosting a night of musical praise on Saturday, January 23 at 7:30pm at Mount Vernon Baptist Church (11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen Virginia). It is free to attend, but they will be accepting donations if you feel led to give. A nursery will be provided, but reservations with confirmation are required.
