A few important reminders this week... Loaves & Fishes, 11/15, 11am to 2pm Our monthly opportunity to serve at Loaves & Fishes is Sunday, November 15th. We will be meeting at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) to prepare and serve a meal to those who need it. Please plan on staying from 11am until around 2pm. City Church Basics, 11/20 & 11/21 Erik will be offering another City Church Basics session on Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st. City Church Basics explains who we are as a church and what it means to be a member. It is a necessary step towards formally joining the church, although membership is not required. Vespers, 11/22 Everyone is invited to take part in our monthly Vespers service on Sunday, November 22nd right after church (5:30 to about 7:00). This is a time for us to share a meal and discussion about various events and opportunities within the church. Please bring a dish to share.

Microloans & Microbrews, 11/23, 6pm to 7:30pm Join us for drinks and appetizers and learn how communities around the world are being transformed through microfinance and the work of HOPE International. The event will take place at Capital Ale House (623 E. Main Street) and includes a $20 cover charge. Cover charge includes 2 drink tickets and appetizers. See the flyer for details. As we cross geographic, economic and social lines in our city, our hope is to serve the community in the name of Jesus, learn from others who bear God’s image, and partner with local ministries in the neighborhood. Join us as we work alongside the Nothrside outreach center, Boaz and Ruth, and Grace Community Outreach Church! The trip will cost $25 and will have limited spots. Advent Hymn Sing led by Alex Mejia, 12/4, 7pm Alex and his band will lead us in singing Advent and Christmas hymns in a service that will also features Scripture lessons.
