*NEW* Cookout, 6/20 Everyone is invited to a cookout at Byrd Park this Saturday, June 20th at 6pm. Hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side of your choice. Feel free to bring frisbees, footballs, corn hole, and any other outdoor activity that may interest you! The grills are located in a large grassy area off of Hampton and Amelia Street which run parallel to Meadow Street behind the Swan and Shield Lake. Loaves & FIshes, 6/21 We will be meeting at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) on Sunday, June 21st from 11am to 2pm to prepare and serve a meal to the hungry. Baby Shower for Li Liu, 6/27 Ladies, you are all invited to attend a shower celebrating the impending arrival of Li and Albert's little girl! Vespers, 6/28 All are welcome to attend our monthly Vespers service on Sunday, June 28th from 5:30pm to about 7:00pm. We will be sharing a meal and praying for the needs of the team getting ready to leave for Sudan. Please bring a dish to share!


The Prodigal God Discussion, 6/21 - 6/25 Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church is hosting a week-long adult class on the book The Prodigal God by Tim Keller, Sunday June 21-Thursday June 25. The book is excellent and could be a great introduction to Christianity for friends/co-workers. Erik will be one of the teachers of the class. The class is offered as part of Grace Covenant's Vacation Bible School and will run from 6:45-8 PM each evening. There is an optional meal (beginning at 6 PM) before the class. Pregnancy Resource Center volunteer liaison needed The Pregnancy Resource Center of Metro Richmond is seeking a volunteer liaison from City Church to coordinate the church's support for the ministries of the Center, including activities like Baby Bottle campaigns, the annual Walk for Life fundraiser, and teaching life skills classes.  Please contact Jeremy Pryor (pryor16 [at] if you are interested in serving in this role.
