PREPARE & CONNECT

This Week’s Sermon: This week Erik will preach on 2 Kings 25:1-12. We invite you to read ahead as a way to prepare yourself for this week’s sermon.

No Children's Worship on Sunday: As this is the fifth Sunday of the month, Children’s Worship will not take place during this week's service. We encourage parents to worship with their children and to see it as an opportunity to teach them about the service. (Nursery care will still be available for ages 0 through 3.)

2014-2015 Budget Meeting: The City Church Session has approved a budget for the coming 12 months (July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015). Our annual budget review and presentation will take place immediately following our worship service this Sunday, June 29th. All are invited to attend. Members of the Finance Team will be on hand to address any questions.

GATHER

Prayer Tomorrow: At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer: dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us tomorrow, June 26th, at 7am to pray for individual needs, City Church, and for the city of Richmond. We’ll be meeting this week at the Church office, 3rd floor at Grace Covenant. Enter in the back entrance of building. Hope to see you there. (City Church prayer takes place every other Thursday.)

Summer Parenting Conversations: We will hold three parenting conversations on Wednesday evenings this summer: July 2nd, July 23rd, and August 13th from 5:30-7:30pm. All of the meetings will take place at Grace Covenant in Room 303. Childcare will be provided ($10/child; $20 family maximum). Dinner for your children will also be coordinated for those who desire. If you're planning to come, Please use this link to register–and feel free to contact Val Catrow (val@citychurchrva.com) with question.

SERVE

Support for the Chattanooga Team: We are sending a team to Chattanooga at the beginning of July to work with an organzation called Hope for the Inner City. If you're interested in providing financial team for the team (as a whole or for individuals), you can do so through our online payment system or by check (please include the team member's name in the memo line).  We will hear more from the team during Sunday's service. Team members are:

John Bourgeois Liz Crim Catherine, Sophia, and Julia Kerns Kyle Laferriere Mason McLean David Perks

Mercy Fund on Sunday: We will take up a special mercy fund offering at Sunday’s service, as we always do on the last Sunday of the month. Whatever is given will be kept separate from our general budget and will be used to aid those in our congregation, and in our community, who have emergency needs. Please prayerfully consider what you might give.

Meals for the Sanfratellas: We are providing Emily and AJ Sanfratella meals for the next few weeks as they adjust to life at home with Sal, their new baby boy. If you're interested in serving them in this way, visit takethemameal.com to sign up (login is 'Sanfratella' and password is 'Sal').

New City Group Leaders Needed! City Church is not a church with small groups, but a church of small groups; we call these groups City Groups. We are hoping to gather and train new leaders for these groups. If you are interested learning more about City Group leadership, email John@citychurchrva.com for more information.
