Stewards of Children Training (LOCATION CHANGE): The rate of child sexual abuse is staggering: 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by the time they are 18 (source). If you are interested in learning how to prevent, recognize, and react to child sexual abuse, please join us for Stewards of Children training. This course will be held specifically for City Church of Richmond by the organization SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now). The information presented would be helpful for those who work or volunteer with children, and for parents, but it is designed for any individuals concerned for the safety of children. The class will take place this Saturday, February 16th, from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the City Church office (1520 W. Main Street, Suite 105). There is a fee of $10 that goes toward the workbook used during the class that is yours to keep.
