Parking on Sunday: Easter on Parade is scheduled for Sunday from 1pm to 5pm on Monument Avenue between Allen and Davis. This could make parking difficult, so please plan accordingly.
Loaves & Fishes: Our next opportunity to prepare and serve a meal for Loaves & Fishes will be Sunday, April 15th. We will meet at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) from 11am until 2pm. To RSVP, contact Valerie Catrow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Downtown Lunch: Our next Downtown Lunch will take place on Thursday, April 19th from 12pm to 1pm. We will do a ‘bring your own’ lunch and meet in the conference room of Riverfront Investment Group located at 1214 E. Cary Street. Erik will speak for 5 to 10 minutes after which we’ll share a meal and a conversation around the table.
Holy Week Services: This year on Maundy Thursday (April 5th), City Church will partner with our Monument Avenue neighbor, Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, for a service at 7pm. All are invited as well to a community meal before the service at 6pm in Grace Covenant’s basement fellowship hall. The meal is $5/person with a $12 family maximum. On Good Friday (April 6th), City Church is holding a service together with our sister church, Northside Church of Richmond. The service will take place at 7pm at their location: Battery Park Christian Church at 4201 Brook Road. City Church Basics: The next session of City Church Basics is scheduled for Friday, April 20th and Saturday, April 21st. Church Basics explains who we are as a church and what it means to be a member. It is a necessary step towards formally joining the church, although membership is not required.
