Prayer--Thursday: Please join members of City Church’s leadership and staff to pray for City Church on Thursday, March 29th from 7-8am at the church office (1520 W. Main Street, Suite 105).
Session meeting: The City Church elders will hold their next session meeting on April 4th. If you have any questions, concerns, or prayer requests, please contact Erik (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Holy Week Services: This year on Maundy Thursday (April 5th), City Church will partner with our Monument Avenue neighbor, Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, for a service at 7pm. All are invited as well to a community meal before the service at 6pm in Grace Covenant’s basement fellowship hall. The meal is $5/person with a $12 family maximum. On Good Friday (April 6th), City Church is holding a service together with our sister church, Northside Church of Richmond. The service will take place at 7pm at their location: Battery Park Christian Church at 4201 Brook Road. Friday Night Supper--RSVPs needed today!: We are doing another Friday night potluck in various homes throughout Richmond this Friday, March 30th, and want you to join us! This is a casual dinner open to all people – members, visitors, skeptics, neighbors, etc. – and will provide a chance for us to get to know new people within our community. The host of each home will provide the main dish and each attendee (up to 12 per house) can bring a side of their choosing to share with the group. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP no later than TODAY, to Rebecca Hendrix at email@example.com and she will be in touch with details.
City Church Forum--Tomorrow!: Our spring City Church Forum series “Stewarding Beauty” will start on Wednesday, March 28th, with documentary film-maker, Nate Clarke. The event will take place in Beth Ahabah’s Joel House from 7:30-9 PM. You can see a sample of his work here. (Parking is available in the parking deck, but please use the top level, reserving the other levels for those who will be at St. James that evening).
This is Our City--Thursday: On Thursday, March 29th, at 7pm, Christianity Today will host a an evening of celebration and conversation about how Christians are contributing to the flourishing of Richmond. Our own Pastor Erik is one of the featured speakers. The event will take place at Northminster Church (3121 Moss Side Avenue). Doors open at 6:30pm and dessert will be served. Brunch & Easter Egg Hunt--Sunday: All are invited to join us for a potluck brunch and Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, April 1st from 10am to 1pm at Glenn and Laura Nunziata's home. Who Needs Theology? Answers to our Current Questions: Our next Christian Formation Class, Who Needs Theology? Answers to our Current Questions, begins on Sunday, April 1st.
