Mercy and Justice Roundtables -- September 11th Mercy and Justice Roundtables will be this Sunday from 5:45 to 7:30 after church in the first floor of the Joel House at Beth Ahabah. Come eat and learn about: •    International Student Outreach (follow-up cultural sensitivity session with Bob Wood) •    Gilpin Court (after school reading program and upcoming events with STEP) •    Loaves and Fishes (Like to cook? New service opportunities) •    Highland Park Partnership (prayer for Grace Community Outreach Ministries)

Loaves & Fishes -- September 18th Our next opportunity to serve a meal at Loaves & Fishes will be on Sunday, September 18th. We'll be meeting at the Conrad Center (1400 Oliver Hill Way) from 11am until around 2pm. If you're interested in helping, please contact Erik at erik [at] citychurchrva.com.

Parking Garage Reminder We were recently told that a car was broken into in Beth Ahabah's parking garage during one of our services and some items were stolen. Just a reminder that if you park in the garage to please make sure your car doors are locked and any valuable items are kept out of sight.

Women’s Retreat — September 17th & 18th The ladies of City Church will be heading out to Ann Douglas Enghauser family’s cabin in Cumberland County (about 50 miles outside of Richmond) on the morning of Saturday, September 17th and returning to Richmond at around noon that Sunday. Romania Reborn Concert -- October 1st Join us on Saturday, October 1st at 7:30pm at the Domeneches' home (1908 Grove Avenue) for a house concert in honor of the work of Romania Reborn (romania-reborn.org), an organization serving the needs of abandoned children in Romania since 1998. Matthew Smith & Indelible Grace -- October 22nd Matthew Smith (a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who writes brand new music to centuries-old hymn texts) and his band Indelible Grace will be at Stony Point Church (2330 Burford Road) on Saturday, October 22nd at 7:30pm. Love Your Kids Seminar -- November 5th West End Presbyterian Church will be hosting a one-day seminar for parents of young children (0-12 years). "Love Your Kids" is designed to grow in you the heart of God toward your children. During the seminar you will learn to: find the imbalances of involvement and discipline and correct them, say “Yes” generously, but say “No” gently but firmly, work together with your spouse as a team, and trust God’s love for you as you face the ups and downs of family life. We will post more info as it becomes available.

Save the Date: City Church Harvest Party -- November 5th City Church will have our annual Harvest Party on Saturday, November 5th. Time and location are TBD, but we are aiming for late afternoon. Stay tuned!
