Mercy Fund on Sunday As this week's service falls on the last Sunday of the month, we will be taking contributions to our Mercy Fund. Please prayerfully consider what you might be willing to contribute.

Gilpin Games -- Volunteers needed! City Church will be helping STEP (Strategies to Elevate People) with the Gilpin Games this year on Saturday, August 20th from 9am to 12pm, and we're looking for volunteers. For those of you not familiar with the Gilpin Games, this one day, back-to-school event provides us with an opportunity to get to know residents of Gilpin Court (a 750-unit housing project north east of the VCU/City Church area) and provide the kids with much-needed school supplies. Volunteers are needed to help run the game stations, distribute backpacks, lead groups of kids, and more. If you're unable to attend the event, you can also help out by donating school supplies. For more info, contact Nate Mathews at nathan.t.mathews [at] gmail.com.
