New Sudan, 3/19 West End Presbyterian Church is hosting a screening of “The New Sudan”, a film detailing the civil war and the road to sustainable peace as South Sudan prepares for independence in July 2011. The story follows the lives of four South Sudanese and four significant areas of need and development: water, medical, education and church development. My Concrete Mattress, 3/13 City Church will host a screening of My Concrete Mattress (a documentary raising awareness about the issue of homelessness) on Sunday evening, March 13th, at 7pm. The movie will be screened in the basement auditorium of Beth Ahabah and the film-makers will be present to answer questions and help lead a discussion on the topic. Loaves & Fishes, 3/20 Our next opportunity to serve at Loaves & Fishes will be Sunday, March 20th.
