Victory Reading Program Director

City Church partner Strategies To Elevate People (STEP) is currently looking for a Program Director for their Victory Reading and Summer Enrichment Programs which take place in Gilpin Court. Some key points from STEP:

Victory Reading's mission is to impart biblical truths and strong reading skills in the children of Gilpin Court in an effort to leave a legacy of well-educated children who know their inherent value in the sight of God. Serving children from 3 years through 5th grade, Victory Reading Program provides pre-school preparation, after school reading remediation and Christian character development.

The Summer Enrichment Program’s mission is to help instill vision in the children for a prosperous future by exposing them to education/career opportunities, and to a God who has created them uniquely with purpose. Though these 2 programs are treated as separate efforts, they serve much of the same population, but may include older youth as well.

A key objective of the Program Director will be the immediate expansion of the programs from 2 to 4 days a week, extending the depth of program impact.

Though this position will be fully funded for the 1st year, the Program Director is expected to raise his/her own salary/overhead through a process of personal support raising thereafter. The ideal candidate will have some experience in fundraising but training will be provided.
