*NEW* RSVP to the Church Cookout, 7/25 In lieu of Vespers in July, City Church will have a picnic at the Rumrill’s property in King and Queen County (about 45 minutes from Richmond) on Saturday, July 25th. We will have a cook-out and hang-out time together from 4-10 PM. Meat, buns, fixings, and water wil be provided. Please bring a dish and/or drink to share. Ted teaches at a University there and they use American cultural studies as a way to introduce the gospel to Czech students. On Sunday they will share during our worship service. Short-term Housing Need A young man from Ethiopia is coming to Richmond and needs a place to stay until he marries his fiance who has lived in Hanover County for the last 3 years. He has all papers from immigration services and will have about $400/month for housing. He would prefer a place close to work or a busline. The Current Economic Crisis: How to Live Well in a Time of Uncertainty The Richmond Christian Study Center is hosting a seminar titled The Current Economic Crisis: How to Live Well in a Time of Uncertainty on Friday, August 28th from 7-9 PM and Saturday, August 29th from 9-12. The seminar will be led by Ken Myers and Amy Sherman and hosted by 3rd Presbyterian Church. The cost is $10 for individuals and $15 for families.
